Maureen Jackson - BA PGCE
A graduate of Sussex University, Maureen has more than 20 years experience in education. She has been a teacher of children and adults, ranging in age from 3 to 83 years, and understands in depth the issues and pressures facing both local authorities and businesses in preparing students for the world of work.
She achieved great success with the development of business-education links in West London and later managed the Hillingdon Education Business Partnership
(EBP), working closely with British Airways and other major employers such as Glaxo SmithKline, Marks and Spencers and Xerox.
Maureen managed a project, sponsored by American Express Europe, working with schools across Sussex to develop Personal Finance Education in the curriculum. She is currently working as a freelance consultant with the Personal Finance Education Group.
John Jackson - BSc CEng MIET Advanced Certificate in Marketing
John Jackson is a former CEO with extensive general and operational management experience derived in public and private sectors at board level in the UK and internationally. Experienced in leading global lines of business, he previously lived and managed businesses in Italy and much of Western Europe. Today he operates as a Consultant and Interim Manager and has successfully completed assignments in continental Europe, the Middle East and the UK.
John specialises in business and organisational transformation as well as performance improvement, and has a strong delivery focus. He is adaptable and has excellent commercial, organisational and motivational skills, which he developed in small and large subsidiaries. John is proven in business acquisition, start up and transformation. He is a ‘hands-on’ manager and has a passionate belief that virtually all businesses and organisations can improve their performance through sustained customer focus, sensitivity to the market and by taking a tough approach to costs.
He has expertise derived from working in the telecommunications, energy, utilities, healthcare and government sectors. John inspires others through clear vision, direction, enthusiasm and focus.
A Chartered Engineer by training, John graduated from Leeds University and later attended business schools including Manchester, Henley, Ashridge and INSEAD.
John is also a Non-Executive Director of the South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Trust, a business with a budget well in excess of £100m.
